  • What services do you provide?
    We limit our core areas to process serving, skip tracing and SSN searches so that we can focus on what’s important to our clients.
  • In what areas do you provide service?
    We provide service throughout the United States and internationally, through one of our partner firms.
  • What are your hours of operation?
    Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm although a senior member of our staff is always on call to attend to your after hours need.
  • How long have you been in business?
    De Novo began in 2011. Our staff has extensive experience in all facets of process service. Our President has been an attorney barred in the State of Maryland for over forty years.
  • What's the best way to get our documents to you?
    The fastest and best way is to email them to us at intake@denovoattorneyservices.com. We will pick up the documents if necessary for a nominal fee.
  • What is your average turnaround time?
    Our goal is to provide the most expeditious service while maintaining strict quality and accuracy controls. In most cases rush service can be completed within five days and routine service within 10 days.
  • Can I access my files 24/7?
    Yes. We will provide you with a username and password to our web based portal so you can track your documents in real time.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept payment via check and credit card.
  • How many attempts do you make?
    We make 4 attempts per address.
  • Can I have the four attempts made at multiple addresses for one charge?
    No, all attempts and charges are on a per address basis.
  • How do you charge?
    We charge per servee/per address.
  • Are your servers certified?
    Our servers are certified in those jurisdictions where certification is required. All of our servers are fully trained and have continuous education training by our staff.
  • What if the person I am trying to serve attempts to evade service?
    When a servee is evading, we will provide an Affidavit of Due Diligence so that you can file a Motion for Alternative Service. We will try to confirm residency with neighbors and make attempts at various times of the day. There are also secondary things we can do such as skip tracing to find a phone number, sit and wait on the property, etc. at an additional charge.
  • What types of documents do you serve?
    We serve any type of civil litigation matters (business, divorce, foreclosure, tax lien, etc.)
  • Will you e-file the Affidavit of Service?
    We e-file in all Maryland MDEC jurisdictions and (snail) mail originals to the courts that are not on MDEC.
  • What type of information do you need to conduct a skip trace?
    Most of the time all we need is a name and a last known address.
  • What type of information does your skip trace service provide?
    We offer a Standard and Comprehensive skip tracing option. A Standard skip provides addresses, phone numbers, emails, DOB, SSN, and possible relatives. A Comprehensive skip provides additional details such as utilities, license, social media, known relatives, criminal records, real time incarceration records, deceased records, assets info (vehicle and property), and liens, judgments, bankruptcies, etc. Not all information is available on all skips.
  • Do you offer asset searches?
    No
  • What are your payment terms?
    Payment in full is due in advance.
  • Do I have to pay if you don't get service?
    Yes. All reputable firms require payment regardless of the outcome. If needed, we will provide you with an Affidavit of Non Service for you to pursue alternative service methods with the court.
  • How do I receive the invoice and affidavit after service is complete?
    You will receive an automated email with a link to the invoice and signed affidavit.
